Today’s post again comes from the trusty, Department of Labor Women’s Bureau website. They have heaps of data and even a Social media toolkit.

Take a look at this data tool where you can see the same breakdown for just about every occupation. Did I mention I love this website??

The line graph shows women’s earnings as a % of men’s, which you can see for police officers is about 87%.

But I feel like we hear that stat all the time, so I like to think of it in dollars. On the side, you can see the median earning. When it switches to the thousands of dollars that women are missing out on, it becomes a lot more real to me.

Things have got to change.
