I’ve fallen in love with the Department of Labor Women’s Bureau website. The data is all there, easily accessible, and there’s even a Social media toolkit to share some of the key insights.

This blog post by Janelle Jones (from NE Ohio baby!) sums it up excellently, but in my own words…

“Friendly reminder that this is STILL the case in the United States!!! Data is from the @usdol dol.gov They have data showing women are paid less than their male counterparts in the ✔️same occupation ✔️same education level ✔️same age ... it’s dumb!!! Ladies - keep this in mind for your next negotiation! It’s probably a good idea to ask for 20% more than what feels comfortable”
