Ben’s parents visit

Wednesday Sept 29th, we picked up Ben’s parents at the Portland airport. We stayed until Friday and enjoyed the city while Ben worked during the day.

We spent most of Thursday at Washington Park, the Rose Garden as definitely the highlight!

On Friday, we started the day with gourmet doughnuts from Blue Star, and then drove 1 hour east to Cascade Locks.

We stopped at Multnomah Falls on the way there, settled in at the Motel, then explored more. We hiked a little bit of the PCT and walked over the Bridge of the Gods.

Salmon, green beans, potatoes, and eggplant for dinner. The Cascade Motel was bumping that night!

Saturday was the Fruit Loop day! This is a scenic 35-mile loop in the Hood River Valley with farm stands along the way with wines, fruits, veggies, flowers, ciders, and food. We had a great day!

We spent that night and the next day in White Salmon.

Monday we drove to the Coast, stopping to see Herman the Sturgeon on the way.

We got there in time for a hike and the sunset at Ecola State Park.

The Airbnb was a block away from Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach. Super cool!!

Tuesday we spent shopping in downtown and midtown Cannon Beach, while Ben worked away. The sunset that was stunning, and we made an excellent dinner.

Wednesday, we headed back into Portland airport. What a fun trip!
